Anonymous asked: What happened to the feathers? They were both black back when they were first introduced, why is one orange?

This is about Michelle’s feather charms that she wears on her head. I find it interesting that I have gotten so many questions about why the feathers are different between Orientations and Homecoming now, but didn’t get any questions three years ago when I made The One-Eyed Bear, which is the first time she showed up with the black/orange feathers, rather than just the black. Perhaps people thought it was part of her costume!

But no, I haven’t really explained it in the comic, and that’s my fault. The orange feather is one of Jim’s. Perhaps I should have made a little mini-comic of her swapping one of the feathers out for Jim’s feather. I did it because I wanted more color in her design, and that I thought of the idea after I had introduced the charm in the comic, so it is a little bit of a retcon, perhaps!
