My Christmas present from my mom got here yesterday. Basically I called her up and was “Uh hey Mom I know I already have Dinotopia and I’ve had it for 20 years but could you get me the 20th Anniversary Edition of Dinotopia from James Gurney because I would kind of crap my pants if I had a signed copy of it?” and because she is the best mommy ever she got it for me and now I have a copy of Dinotopia with a little apatosaurus doodle and my name spelt wrong in a way that makes it super endearing because ahhhhhh. I reread the whole thing last night and I teared up a little, I’m not ashamed to say so. It’s just as magical at 27 as it was when I was 7.
